How harm-full could it be living 400 ft away from a glorious voltage electric tower?

How harm-full could it be living 400 ft away from a glorious voltage electric tower?
I have see pictures of people holding neon tubes surrounded by their hands while they stand underneath elevated voltage towers, and the tubes are glowing brightly from the electricity one channeled through their bodies.
Is that harmful? I don't know. But I sure wouldn't want to live next to it.
Oh, I'm sure you will be fine... I would be more worried about 1 of the other thousands of ways you could be getting poisoned day by day. Like Mcdonalds. Or fertilizer fed chickens, eh?
The powerline proximity point has pretty much be discredited. Also 400 ft is quite far. I wouldn't verbs.
I wouldn't want to find out the answer to this one through personal experience...
